KAMANDAG is an annual exercise between the Philippine Marine Corps and the U.S. Marine Corps aimed at enhancing the defense and humanitarian capabilities of the Philippine Armed Forces by providing valuable training in combined operations with foreign militaries in the Philippines improve promotion of a free and open Indo-Pacific. This year marks the eighth year of the exercise and includes participants from the French Armed Forces, the Royal Thai Marine Corps and the Indonesian Marine Corps; including the continued participation of the Australian Armed Forces, the British Armed Forces, the Japanese Ground Self-Defense Force and the Republic of Korea Marine Corps.
