Motorcyclist died after colliding with an SUV on Jacksonville’s north side

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – JACKSONVILLE, FL. – A man was killed in a motorcycle accident in the Lake Forest Hills area Saturday morning.

It happened around 2:20 a.m. at a Sunoco near Moncrief Road.

The man was reportedly traveling west on Edgewood Avenue when a woman pulled into a Sunoco gas station. The impact threw him from the motorcycle.

He was taken to a local hospital where he died shortly afterwards. The driver showed no signs of impairment and cooperated with police.

This is the 121st traffic fatality in Duval County this year and the 22nd involving a motorcycle.
