Teen arrested with gunfire during an afternoon robbery on Anniston Drive

Lexington Police report that 18-year-old Aubrion Johnson was arrested in connection with an afternoon robbery on Anniston Drive in Lexington.

Johnson was charged with first-degree robbery, first-degree wanton endangerment, second-degree escape, first-degree fleeing or evading police, second-degree assault and carrying a concealed weapon.

ORIGINAL STORY:

Lexington police responded to a reported disturbance between an employee and a customer at the Anniston Mini Mart in Lexington on Friday, and officers added that “shots were fired” during the incident.

Officials reported that police were called to the Mini Mart around 3 p.m. Friday for a disturbance. “Shots were fired” during this period, police said, but no further information was provided at this time.

According to officials, the employee was taken to an area hospital with “minor, non-life-threatening” injuries that were not consistent with a gunshot wound.

A man was arrested in connection with the incident.
