Kearny man arrested after violent stabbing and victim sent to hospital

A Kearny man is in custody following a violent knife attack that left a victim with life-threatening injuries Friday evening.According to Kearny police, Mr. William Krebs, 49, was arrested and charged with attempted murder and several weapons offenses.

The stabbing occurred on Quincy Avenue near Maple Street, where police responded to a report of an assault.

Police told RLS Media that the victim, who suffered serious injuries in the attack, was hospitalized but is expected to survive.

Authorities have not yet revealed what led to the violent confrontation.AdvertisementKrebs is currently being held in the Hudson County Jail while the investigation continues.
