Santa Monica police are searching for an assault suspect

Police are searching for a suspect wanted in connection with an attack in Santa Monica.

According to the Santa Monica Police Department, the attack occurred around 12:35 p.m. on Sept. 22 near the 1400 block of Alley 5.

Surveillance cameras filmed the man walking barefoot on the sidewalk. He was last seen fleeing on Santa Monica Boulevard toward 7th Street.

Police described him as a man between 25 and 35 years old with bleached hair and a black beard. He has tattoos covering both arms.

The details of the attack were not disclosed by authorities. He was last seen wearing a dark t-shirt and shorts.
