Well, the reason was provided by none other than “The Predator” in a heartbreaking interview with Joe Rogan. During his appearance on the Joe Rogan Experience MMA Show, Francis Ngannou revealed that the death of his young son was as sudden as it could be. He revealed that his son had a brain malformation that went undetected even though he was taken to two hospitals in Cameroon and Saudi Arabia where doctors were unable to diagnose the problem despite several tests.

Ngannou said: “He has a malformation in his brain, which we didn’t know. He fainted twice. The first time was in Cameroon. We took him to the hospital. They didn’t find anything. The second time was possible [Saudi Arabia]we took him to the hospital. They conducted many trials; They didn’t do anything.”

“The Predator” further revealed that doctors in Saudi Arabia believed his son had swollen lungs. They then gave him some medication, which gave Ngannou confidence that everything would be okay. He said: “After all these tests, they gave him medicine so that he would be fine. No need to worry. Because at first they even thought it was asthma. They put me on a ventilator, so to speak, and then took it off after some research. It [made me] confident.“However, as we all know, things only got worse for the Cameroonian fighter.

Francis Ngannou revealed that his son felt much more mentally relaxed after taking medication. So he started going to the gym again and focusing on his physical training. However, while on a bike ride at the gym, he felt the urge to contact his family, but no one answered the phone. But even though Ngannou wasn’t nervous at first, it wasn’t until he called his brother that he realized how serious the situation was. The former UFC fighter revealed that his brother informed him that his son had lost consciousness and was not breathing.

“He said, ‘Brother, things aren’t going well here.’ I ask myself, “What is this?” [He said,] “Kobe, he passed out; he isn’t breathing. “We’re at the hospital, they kicked me out of the room. I’m like, ‘What’s going on?’ While we’re talking, he’s also trying to get information, so I lost him for about three or four minutes.” When he called his brother again to get more information about his son’s health, Ngannou heard the nurse inform his brother that his son had died.
