Man dead, another injured after shooting in west Phoenix

PHOENIX (AZFamily) – One man is dead and another is in the hospital after a shooting in west Phoenix.

It happened just after 7 p.m. near 87th Avenue and Camelback Road.

According to police, the family drove a man who had been shot at least once to the hospital. He later died.

First responders took another man who had been shot to the hospital and he was expected to survive, investigators said.

The area will be closed as investigators try to determine what led to the shooting.

No further information about any of the victims or a potential suspect has been released.

An investigation is underway.
