14-year-old boy killed in ATV farming accident in Grantsville

GRANTSVILLE, Utah, October 18, 2024 (Gephardt Daily) – A 14-year-old boy was killed in a farming accident in Grantsville Friday afternoon when the ATV he was riding rolled in a pasture and “made a tight turn.”

Grantsville Police Lt. Dave Greco told Gephardt Daily the teenage passenger was ejected from the vehicle and the ATV rolled over him.

“The teenager was pronounced dead at the scene,” Graco said.

The driver of the ATV was uninjured.

“They were tending livestock near the 6000 block of Burmester Road around 1:30 p.m. when the rollover occurred,” Greco said.

The exact cause of the rollover has yet to be determined.
