The camera work caused a Game 4 panic attack among Yankees fans around the world

Jhonkensy Noel’s deep fly ball in the seventh inning was gone deep into Cleveland night Friday.

At least that’s what the camera work would have led you to believe.

With the Yankees clinging to a 6-5 lead in the bottom of the seventh inning in ALCS Game 4, Noel – he was the game-winning home run on Thursday – hit a high, deep drive to left field.

To everyone watching on TV, the crack of the bat and the camera panning skyward made the ball look like it was going deep into the left-field stands.

Noel’s flying ball was crushed.

The ball appeared to have disappeared - according to the camera work.

However, the ball stayed in the park and on top of that, Alex Verdugo caught the ball for an out.

The Yankees escaped trouble in the frame, but Cleveland tied the score in the eighth.

People in the social media space weren’t particularly happy about feeling deceived.

“The camera illusion on that John Kensy Noel swing just scared the hell out of me,” wrote one user on X.

“TBS and the camera crew really wanted Noel’s can of corn to be a home run,” wrote WFAN’s Shaun Morash.

“Heart attack angle from the camera work,” wrote another insert.

“This is the craziest camera work I’ve ever seen in my life,” said another.

The Yankees took the lead in the ninth off closer Emmanuel Clase, giving them some much-needed life.
