A man shot and killed robbers who broke into his home, according to South Fulton police

ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) – Police say one person was injured after being shot by a resident of a South Fulton home.

Police said officers responded to the 4700 block of Brookwood View just after 4 p.m. Friday. According to police, “an unknown number of armed individuals” broke into a home, stole several items and drove away. A man living in the house chased them in his car, resulting in an accident and a shootout.

The man injured one of the robbers in the shooting, police said.

According to police, the injured suspect then ran to a construction site on Inkberry Drive and asked construction workers if he could wash his hands. The man was later found hiding in a closet on site.
