North Texas vs. Memphis prediction, betting odds and how to watch

Memphis is still in the running to get into the College Football Playoff. But the Tigers will likely need to keep their winning streak intact if that’s going to happen.

Memphis is 5-1 overall, including a win over Florida State, but the Tigers are 1-1 in AAC play, having lost to Navy earlier this season before beating USF in their last game.

This week is not an easy home game for Memphis as it faces North Texas. The Mean Green are 5-1, with their only loss coming at Texas Tech. They won both of their AAC games, but they will definitely want to triumph this weekend if they want a chance to be in the conference championship game.

North Texas vs Memphis betting odds

North Texas vs. Memphis Prediction

I expect Memphis to win, but North Texas will cover the spread at +11.5. I also expect the game to score over 68.5 total points.

I think this game could be interesting. And if you like points, I think this game could be very entertaining too.

North Texas has scored more than 40 points in each of its last three games. Memphis has only done it twice this season, but with stars at the skill positions like quarterback Seth Henigan, running back Mario Anderson Jr. and wide receiver Roc Taylor, I think the Tigers will score some points in this battle.

But I think Memphis’ defense will be a little better here. The Tigers have only given up more than 17 points once all season – their loss at Navy. Memphis has given up a total of 22 points in its last three wins over USF, Middle Tennessee and Florida State.

I believe both offenses will be successful in the second half, and I don’t think either team will win by more than 10 points. But I think the Tigers defense will make a few key plays at home to help them win.
