On Friday, Israeli soldiers attacked a teenager before ramming him with their jeep during an invasion of the al-Jalazone refugee camp north of Ramallah in the central part of the occupied West Bank.

The Palestinian Red Crescent Society (PRCS) reported that its teams transported a 16-year-old boy to a hospital in Ramallah after he was run over by an Israeli military vehicle in al-Jalazone refugee camp.

Eyewitnesses reported that the soldiers beat the boy while they held him in a military vehicle for some time.

A video later showed the boy handcuffed and lying on the side of the road at the entrance to the camp, suffering from injuries caused by the incident.

In a separate incident, Israeli forces entered the village of Dura al-Qare’, northeast of Ramallah, and closed roads.

Local sources reported that during the invasion, soldiers fired tear gas bombs and removed Palestinian flags and posters of the slain young man Mohammad Hussein Fawaqa.

Israeli forces shot 21-year-old Fawaqa in the stomach with live ammunition, causing life-threatening injuries, to which he later succumbed during a settler attack in the village of Dura al-Qare’ on October 18, 2023.
