Niagara Falls man convicted of fatal stabbing in 2023

BUFFALO, NY (WIVB) – A Niagara Falls man has been convicted of fatally stabbing a man in 2023 after stabbing another person five days earlier, the Niagara County District Attorney’s Office announced.

Dominique Castile, 36, pleaded guilty to first-degree manslaughter after fatally stabbing 33-year-old Stefhon Hilson on New Year’s Day 2023. He also pleaded guilty to second-degree manslaughter for stabbing another person on December 27, 2022.

Castile was sentenced to 22 years in prison. He originally faced up to 25 years.
