Soldiers attack one, settlers attack a woman and child in the West Bank |


On Friday, Israeli soldiers attacked a Palestinian citizen and illegal colonizers attacked a child and an international activist in separate incidents in the occupied West Bank.

Following a major invasion by illegal colonizers in the village of Yatma, south of Nablus in the northern West Bank, Israeli forces attacked a Palestinian citizen and injured many others on Friday morning.

Ahmad Abu Snobar, chairman of the Yatma village council, told WAFA news agency that at least three large groups of settlers had entered the village under the protection of occupying forces.

Abu Snobar added that the colonizers prevented Palestinian citizens from reaching their own land to harvest olives and tried to attack citizens, which led to protests.

He said occupation soldiers opened fire on citizens with live cartridges, concussion grenades and tear gas canisters, causing several residents to suffer the toxic effects of tear gas inhalation.

Occupation forces also attacked a Palestinian young man, causing bruises. He was taken to hospital for treatment.

Meanwhile, illegal colonizers attacked a Palestinian child on Friday afternoon near the village of Deir Istiya, northwest of Salfit in the central part of the occupied West Bank.

Nazmi Al-Salman, a local anti-settlement activist, told WAFA news agency that a group of Israeli settlers entered the Wadi Qana area near the village and attacked a 15-year-old child while he was on his farm family stopped.

Al-Salman added that the colonizers stole a power generator and destroyed the family’s bags of barley and bran.

In addition, illegal Israeli settlers in the southern West Bank attacked Palestinian farmers and international activists who were harvesting olives in the village of Susya in Masafer Yatta, south of Hebron.

According to Jihad al-Nawaj’a, chairman of the Susya village council, Israeli settlers attacked a foreign activist with a stick on Friday as she volunteered to help Palestinians harvest olives in the village of Susya.

He added that the young woman refused to get into an Israeli ambulance before a Palestinian Red Crescent Society (PRCS) ambulance transported her to Abu al-Hussein al-Qasim Hospital in Yatta, where she suffered bruises from the attack suffered stains.
