Rourkela Steel Plant: Manager of Rourkela Steel Plant arrested for sexually harassing his daughter | Bhubaneswar News

Rourkela: A senior executive of Rourkela Steel Plant (RSP) was arrested on Thursday evening for the alleged crime sexually harassing and tortured his 13-year-old daughter for the past four years.
The girl was admitted to a central center in Sakhi. Her statement was recorded before the first class magistrate on Friday. Police said the officer’s wife died five years ago. Her older daughter, 21, studies outside. The younger daughter attends the sixth grade of a private English secondary school and stays with her father.
According to the FIR filed by the minor girl’s uncle on Thursday, her father has been sexually abusing her for the last four years. The girl had even told her relatives about her ordeal. Recently, she informed her uncle and they both went to the police to file a complaint against her father.
“We are further investigating the case,” said S Khamari, inspector-in-charge of the local police station.
