Police are investigating an early morning shooting at a fast food restaurant

SUMTER COUNTY, SC (WAKE) — Sumter police are investigating a shooting that occurred outside a fast food restaurant on Friday.

According to authorities, the shooting happened after 9:45 a.m. on Calhoun Street.

According to authorities, one person is in custody and is being questioned.

Another person was taken to a local hospital and is being treated for a gunshot wound.

An initial investigation revealed that the two people involved were known.

Officers are working to determine what led to the incident.
