RHOC’s Alexis Bellino “is at risk of being fired” as feud with Shannon Beador continues

Bravo bosses are scrambling to find a way to keep both Alexis Bellino and Shannon Beador on the Real Housewives of Orange County next season despite their ongoing feud.

Shannon, 60, and Alexis, 47, have been at odds all season long after Alexis started dating Shannon’s ex-boyfriend John Janssen, 62, who is now her fiancé.

To make matters worse, John is suing Shannon over an unpaid $75,000 loan – and Shannon has accused Alexis of being complicit in the lawsuit.

The drama gave the series high ratings, but viewer reactions to Alexis were so extreme that producers are now unsure how to move forward with the current cast.

“Bravo is so happy with how this season has turned out and they know that the addition of Alexis was a big part of the success of the season,” an insider told DailyMail.com.

“Producers don’t want to change anything, but they’re unsure how to bring back both Shannon and Alexis given the current state of their relationship.”

“They don’t want to film with each other and audiences hate Alexis so much that Bravo may have no choice but to let her go unless something changes.”

Another insider said that Alexis “did everything she shouldn’t have” at the reunion, which only made things worse between her and Shannon.

While things may look bleak, another production insider says that a return for Alexis is still on the table.

“Nothing has been decided yet and casting will not officially begin until this season has finished airing. So no one was fired or rehired,” the insider said.

“Still, there are a lot of people who want Alexis back next year. She’s easy to work with compared to some other women and has an authentic friendship with the cast, which is hard to find,” they continued.

“Tamra Judge, Heather Dubrow, Jennifer Pedranti and Katie Ginella all want her back. “Shannon and Emily Simpson would be happy to see her go… and Gina Kirschenheiter doesn’t care.”

A source also said that viewer backlash against Alexis will not be the deciding factor in her future on the show.

“Bravo has already fired a lot of great people due to audience backlash, which usually just makes the shows boring and leads to even more fan complaints,” they said.

“Alexis could easily come back, but she and Shannon have to find a way to live together to make that happen.”

“You can’t just rehash the same argument over and over again and refuse to film together – no one wants to see that.”

Multiple insiders also confirmed that Shannon was originally on the chopping block until last season – with many fans saying it’s her best season yet.

“Everyone thought Shannon would leave the show after her DUI and Alexis would replace her, but things turned out so unexpectedly that Shannon is now arguably the most popular person on the show,” one said.

“And everyone hates Alexis and Tamra, but being hated as a housewife isn’t always a bad thing. “It’s better than being forgotten.”

Producers hope that Shannon and Alexis can coexist so both can return for another season

“She was really upset with how she came across and even thought about quitting at one point, but ultimately decided it would be better for her to return and show viewers more of her real life,” a source said.

“Alexis also believes that Shannon’s true colors will eventually emerge and that she will be vindicated. That’s why she wants to be part of the show when that happens, so everyone can see that she’s not the villain in this.”

In addition to Alexis, newcomer Katie Ginella’s future on the series may also be up in the air.
