Darryl Jacobs named CEO/Team President of Entertainment

The Entertainment Football Association (ENTFLA) is proud to announce Darryl Jacobs as the new CEO and team president of its New Jersey Professional Indoor Football franchise. Jacobs brings an extensive and diverse background in professional sports, collegiate sports, nonprofit leadership and business. He has extensive experience working with current and retired athletes from the NFL, NBA, MLB, Boxing and UFC, to name a few.

A nationally recognized college basketball commentator/analyst for ESPN and CBS Sports Networks, Jacobs has covered major sporting events such as the Super Bowl, the NCAA Final Four and the NBA Playoffs during his sportswriting career. In addition to his broadcasting credentials, he currently serves on the Board of Directors for USA Fencing, World Sports Alumni, Mental Health Center of Passaic and the DEI Board of Commissioners for USA Weightlifting. He is a former executive vice president of sales and marketing in the sports technology industry, focusing on strategic partnerships, revenue generation and business development.

“I’m really looking forward to taking on this leadership role on a professional football team. My extensive experience in business strategy, sports leadership, player and career development, and athlete support has given me the skills to have an impact on the New Jersey franchise. “ENTFLA,” Jacobs said. “My goal is to build a successful organization that provides value to internal and external communities, fans and players alike. “This is the perfect time to bring professional indoor soccer to the great state of New Jersey and the league has a great business model.” This will allow it to compete and grow nationally and internationally. It serves as a springboard for Division I-III players and former pros from NFL, CFL or UFL teams who want to showcase their talents to scouts in those respective leagues.

Jacobs’ leadership qualities in collegiate sports are highlighted by his more than 20 years as an athletic administrator and head men’s basketball coach. He received numerous Coach of the Year awards and led teams to multiple conference championships and NCAA Tournament appearances.

A native of Paterson, New Jersey, Jacobs is a proud graduate of William Penn University, where he earned a BA in business administration and was a standout football and basketball player. He holds a Master of Science in Sports Administration from Southeastern Oklahoma State University, graduating Summa Cum Laude, and has certifications in both basketball and football analytics.

As CEO and general manager, Jacobs will be responsible for overseeing all business and football operations, player development and community engagement for the New Jersey franchise.
