50-year-old man charged with drug abuse and assault on women

A South Bay man who allegedly drugged and sexually abused nine women at his homes in Hermosa Beach and Redondo Beach, including one who died as a result of alleged drug use, has been charged with 18 felonies, including murder and rape using drugs, the Los Angeles County district attorney’s office said Friday.

Michael DiGiorgio, 50, was scheduled to be arraigned Friday in a downtown Los Angeles courtroom.

According to prosecutors, DiGiorgio allegedly drugged and sexually abused nine women between May 2019 and November 2021.
