Serious injury accident on State Highway 33 near Fox Lake

October 18, 2024 – Dodge Co., WI – The Dodge County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a single-vehicle crash resulting in serious injuries on State Highway 33 near Ireland Road, approximately one mile south of Fox Lake.

Shortly before 9 a.m. on Friday, October 18, 2024, a witness reported a single-vehicle collision. The initial investigation revealed that a car was traveling north on State Highway 33, slid back onto the right shoulder and then left the road to the right and struck an embankment.

An adult male passenger in the car suffered serious and potentially life-threatening injuries and was taken by ambulance to Marshfield Medical Center in Beaver Dam, where he was then flown to a Level 1 trauma center.

During the investigation, the driver, a juvenile female who appeared to be uninjured, lost consciousness and was also taken to the hospital by ambulance and also flown to a level 1 trauma center.

There was a toddler in a car seat who was taken to the hospital as a precaution but appeared to be uninjured.

The crash is still under investigation. The Sheriff’s Office was assisted at the scene by Fox Lake EMS and Fire, Beaver Dam Paramedics, Beaver Dam Police and UW Med Flight.
