Virginia man killed in car crash – Duluth News Tribune

PIKE TOWNSHIP – A Virginia man was pronounced dead at the scene of a single-vehicle crash on the 6300 block of Highway 21 in Pike Township Friday morning, according to a report from the St. Louis County Sheriff’s Office.

The driver, Anthony Hall, 22, of Virginia, was found dead at the scene of the accident. His vehicle was traveling south on Highway 21, lost control and overturned until it struck a tree in the ditch. Hall was the only resident.

The incident is being investigated by the sheriff’s office and the Minnesota State Patrol.

Our newsroom occasionally reports stories under the Staff headline. Often the title “staff” is used when paraphrasing basic short messages that come from official sources, such as a city press release about a road closure, and which require little or no reporting. Sometimes this byline is used when a news story includes multiple authors or when the story is created by aggregating previously reported news from various sources. If outside sources are used, this will be noted in the story.
