1 dead after crash in Sumter County

COLUMBIA, SC (WIS) – The South Carolina Highway Patrol (SCHP) reported that one person was killed in a crash in Sumter County.

The accident happened around 2:30 a.m. Friday on SC 763 at Keels Road.

Troopers said the driver of a Hyundai Sonata was traveling west on Keels Road, ran the stop sign on Highway 763 and crashed into a tree.

SCHP is investigating the crash.
