“Patrick Star Show” renewed for seasons 4 and 5 at Nickelodeon

“The Patrick Star Show” has been renewed for Season 4 and Season 5 on Nickelodeon.

The announcement was made Friday during the “SpongeBob SquarePants” 25th anniversary panel at New York Comic-Con. Both new seasons will consist of 13 episodes. Season 3 of the animated series premiered in July 2024.

“The Patrick Star Show” serves as a spin-off to “SpongeBob” and follows “Patrick and the rest of his family, who are constantly disturbed by his wild whims and surreal imagination.” Bill Fagerbakke voices Patrick as he did in the Mothership series. Other voice actors include Tom Wilson, Cree Summer, Jill Talley, Dana Snyder and Dee Bradley Baker. Several “SpongeBob” voice actors also guest star as their characters from that series, including Tom Kenny, who also voices the star family’s sea urchin, Ouchie.

The panel also shared a first look at the upcoming episode “Thanks But No Thanksgiving,” in which Patrick’s family celebrates Thanksgiving with his mother’s family. The clip can be seen below.

The panel consisted of Kenny (SpongeBob), Fagerbakke (Patrick), Carolyn Lawrence (Sandy), Rodger Bumpass (Squidward), Clancy Brown (Mr. Krabs) and Mr. Lawrence (Plankton), as well as executive producers Marc Ceccarelli and Vincent Waller. It was moderated by Matt Forte.

A special first look at the upcoming 25th anniversary stop-motion special SpongeBob & Sandy’s Country Christmas was also featured on the panel and can be seen below.

The half-hour special reads: “When one of Sandy’s experiments goes wrong, the Cheeks family band together to save Christmas in Bikini Bottom.” Craig Robinson plays Pa Cheeks, Johnny Knoxville as Randy Cheeks and Gray Delisle as Ma Cheeks, Granny Cheeks , Rosie and Rowdy, with all three reprising their roles from the film Saving Bikini Bottom: The Sandy Cheeks Movie.

SpongeBob SquarePants originally premiered on Nickelodeon in 1999. Created by Stephen Hillenburg, the series has proven to be one of the most popular series in Nickelodeon history.
