Stray bullet hits man in head Thursday afternoon in Philly: reports

PHILADELPHIA – A man was reportedly shot in the back of the head by a stray bullet in Philadelphia on Thursday afternoon.

It happened around 4:35 p.m. in the 6200 block of Wheeler Street, NBC10 reports.

According to Fox 29, officers who responded to the scene found a 35-year-old man bleeding from the back of his head in his own home.

Police said there may have been a shooting down the block that left the man injured.

According to the police, investigators found empty cartridge cases from two firearms of different calibers at the crime scene.

The innocent bystander is reportedly in stable condition.
