Police appeal for video footage after Shrewsbury Little Library box explodes when subjects place fireworks inside

SHREWSBURY, Mo. (First Alert 4) – A box at the Little Library in Shrewsbury exploded after a firecracker was planted inside it Wednesday night, according to police.

According to Shrewsbury Police, four people placed fireworks in the small library box in Brinkop Park at around 9:15 p.m. According to police, the box exploded and caused damage.

Police are actively investigating and are asking anyone with video footage to submit it online.
