Police are seeking information about sexual assaults along the Montgomery County Trail

Maryland-National Capital Park Police have released a sketch of a wanted person in connection with an incident in which a woman was inappropriately touched by a man while walking on the Rock Creek Stream Valley Trail in Chevy Chase.

Per Park Police: “On October 8, 2024 at 4:00 p.m., a woman was walking along the Rock Creek Stream Valley Trail near the intersection of Woodhollow Drive and Jones Mill Road at the Jones Mill Road Playground, 8525 Jones Mill Road Bethesda. Md. when a man approached her and touched her inappropriately. The Maryland-National Capital Park Police Department, Montgomery County Division and Criminal Investigation Unit are actively investigating this incident and are seeking information and witnesses to the incident, including the bicyclists who assisted the victim.

Suspect information: Black male, approximately 6 feet tall, 20-25 years old, medium complexion, clean shaven, no visible marks, scars or tattoos, wearing a black T-shirt, black sweatpants and a tight black cap.

Investigators have a sketch of a person of interest and are asking for help identifying him.
