Duke’s winning streak ended on October 5 in their last game. The Devils had a 14-10 lead early in the fourth quarter, but then left the game tied by 14 points for a score of 24-14. QB Maalik Murphy rushed for 205 yards with two scores and an interception in the losing effort.

Duke vs Florida State Prediction

I’m going to lean towards Duke. The Blue Devils fell short in the fourth quarter of their loss to Georgia Tech, ultimately gaining 279 yards (205 passes), 15 first downs and a scant 3 of 11 on third-down attempts. Duke’s defense gave up a total of 412 yards (245 rushing) and was on the field for 39:27 of playing time.

As for Florida State, they gave up a total of 500 yards (265 rushing) and 28 first downs in the Clemson loss. The Seminoles, on the other hand, only managed 250 yards (22 rushing). Duke’s defense should be more forgiving to the run, but I don’t think Florida State will hold a coverage tempo here.
