Jimmy Kimmel jokes that the election is in 18 days and we are only 95 days away from our next uprising.

Jimmy Kimmel kicked off Thursday’s episode of “Jimmy Kimmel Live” with a pretty dark joke. “We are now 18 days away from the election,” he said. “And 95 days after our next uprising.”

You probably get the joke, but in case you’ve forgotten, it’s talking about how Donald Trump tried to overthrow the government after he lost the 2020 election. But Kimmel focused less on the danger of another attempt to override the will of voters and more on how exasperating the final days of election season can be. Above all thanks to the communications of the candidate whom he called “Con Juan”. (Obviously Trump.)

“The window to reach voters is closing and text messages and emails asking for money are increasing. For reasons I can’t explain, the race is very close. The pollsters are calling it a mistake along the lines of, “I’m already throwing away my lunch from this election,” Kimmel continued.

“But Trump has a commanding lead in the annoying email department. That’s for sure. According to The New York Times, the Trump campaign has sent more than 7,400 emails asking for money since its launch in November 2022. That’s around 11 emails a day for almost two years,” Kimmel continued.

“You know, these emails often have subject lines like “Action Required” or “Confirm Payment Information!” Basically the same tactics hackers use to steal your grandma’s Social Security number. But sometimes he sweetens the whole thing with an exciting offer.”

Kimmel talked about being on Trump’s mailing list and recently received an email promising to invite Trump to visit his resort in Florida by entering a contest. And of course, Kimmel explained how to enter the contest by donating to the Trump campaign.

But after laying out some extremely sensitive details about those emails, Kimmel said, “I don’t know. Maybe I’m too cynical.”

“Maybe, maybe at the post-grace Thanksgiving dinner, Trump tells his family to calm down and reads aloud the biggest and most beautiful Thanksgiving card, filled with the names of five thousand people who each donated eleven hard-earned dollars. And thank God for each and every one of them,” Kimmel said, obviously sarcastically.
