New York police are searching for a man who sexually assaulted a 22-year-old woman in Times Square

NEW YORK – The New York Police Department is asking for the public’s help in identifying a man wanted in connection with a sexual assault incident that occurred near Times Square on Sunday evening.

Around 10:05 p.m., a 22-year-old woman was approached from behind by an unknown man near West 45th Street and 8th Avenue. According to police reports, the suspect allegedly pressed his groin against the victim’s body and committed a lewd act.

The man then fled the scene in a black Lincoln SUV with New York license plate T500511C, driving west on West 45th Street toward 8th Avenue. No injuries were reported following the incident.

The suspect is described as being of medium build and medium build. He was last seen wearing a dark blue coat, gray button-down shirt, black pants and black shoes.

Authorities are asking anyone with information about the identity or whereabouts of the suspect to contact the NYPD.
