ST. CLOUD, Minn. – A St. Cloud man is in the Stearns County Jail for the alleged shooting of a U.S. Navy sailor in San Diego, California.

According to investigators, the 18-year-old Marine was out with his friends at a nightclub in the East Village on August 31 when they got into an argument with a group of men inside. Both groups left the club at separate exits, but the arguments outside continued for the next 30 minutes until shots were fired around 12:50 p.m

Shortly thereafter, San Diego police arrived and found the sailor lying on the ground with a gunshot wound. Despite medical attention, the man was declared dead.
