A man was injured in a car accident in Kosciusko County

KOSCIUSKO COUNTY, Ind. (WNDU) – A man is recovering in the hospital after an accident in Kosciusko County Thursday afternoon.

It happened in the eastbound lanes of US 30 just before 3 p.m.

Indiana State Police said a truck driven by 49-year-old Felix Farinola of Pennsylvania was traveling east on U.S. 30, behind a tractor-trailer towing a covered trailer.

As the trailer came to a stop at the red light on State Road 19, Farinola was unable to stop in time and collided with the rear of the trailer.

Farinola was flown to a Fort Wayne hospital and his condition is unknown at this time.

The tractor-trailer driver was not injured.

Drugs and alcohol are not believed to have contributed to this accident, but police believe Farinola was following too closely.
