Man was fatally stabbed in Las Vegas this morning; Son-in-law accused

A man was stabbed this morning during a verbal altercation with his son-in-law, according to a Metro Police news release.

Officers responded to a report of a stabbing just before 2:30 a.m. in the 2800 block of South Decatur Boulevard, the release said.

The victim was found in an apartment and appeared to have stab wounds. He was taken to a nearby hospital where he later died.

Aristides Matute, 31, the victim’s son-in-law, was identified by investigators as a suspect in the stabbing, police said. He was arrested and taken to the Clark County Detention Center on a charge of open homicide.
