A four-car crash on Mooresville Road on Wednesday evening, Oct. 16, resulted in three people being taken to a local hospital for evaluation, according to fire officials.

The crash, which occurred just after 6:30 p.m., involved three westbound cars and one eastbound car near the entrance to Glen Meadow. The Locke Township Fire Department said all injuries were minor and one driver refused treatment. Traffic was moving slowly at this point due to a turning vehicle. One car, an SUV, actually rolled over because it entered a ditch after impact and rolled over. The road was closed briefly to provide care for all occupants and to clear the scene of the accident. The accident remains under investigation by the NC State Highway Patrol.
