“Daily Show” reports on the moment Trump faced “his greatest fear.”

“Daily Show” correspondent Desi Lydic spotted an awkward moment for Donald Trump at a town hall event on Univision this week.

There, she said, the former president faced “his greatest fear: Hispanics.”

Trump appeared before a skeptical audience that embarrassed him throughout the evening, including former Republican voter Ramiro Gonzalez, who took him to task over the attack on the U.S. Capitol on January 6, 2021.

And he didn’t hide what he thought of Trump’s response.

“If I’m reading the look on this man’s face correctly, he wasn’t impressed,” Lydic said of the GIF-worthy reaction. “I know that look. That’s the look your father gives you when you’ve obviously lied to him.”

Gonzalez said afterward that he would not vote for Trump.

In his response, Trump called January 6 a “day of love” and defended himself and his supporters.

“Jan. 6 was a day of love?” Lydic shot back. “Of course we all remember January 6th. That was the day countless rioters found their soulmates.”

Then she offered a quick correction.

“Wait, I read that wrong,” she said. “Cellmates. You have cellmates.”

Gonzalez wasn’t the only one who looked askance as Trump spoke.

“The entire audience was one big reaction GIF,” Lydic said as she played the footage.
