The EVille Shindig auto show returns to Evansville

EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WFIE) – The annual EVille Shindig is taking place at the 4-H Fairgrounds.

The event began Thursday at 9 a.m. with a vintage car show.

Cars and RVs built before 1972 lined up to show off their vintage style.

The event features vending machines, food trucks and live performances that began at 6 p.m

There are many more events planned as the shindig will continue through Saturday.

Operations Manager Bob McCarty says the event feels like a big family reunion every year.

“I wanted everyone to come together and meet other people they didn’t know. So there are people from Texas, there are people from Ohio, there are people from Alabama, there are people from everywhere. And they all culminate here in Evansville where they can meet and hang out at a really cool event.”
