Road closed in North Columbia due to police search area

COLUMBIA, Missouri (KMIZ)

A north Columbia road was closed Thursday evening as police investigated the area.

Boone County Joint Communications sent a notification at 10:25 p.m. that Derby Ridge Drive was closed from Bold Venture Drive to Bold Ruler Court.

A reporter from ABC 17 News. At least seven Columbia police officers searched the area with flashlights. A K-9 was also brought out by police.

Police officers were seen inspecting a car whose rear end appeared to be damaged.
