Reno police are investigating a shooting near Renown Regional Medical Center

RENO, Nev. (KOLO) – Reno Police are investigating a shooting in the Pickett Park area next to Renown Regional Medical Center.

It happened just before 7 p.m. Police said they did not immediately know how serious the injury was. The victim was treated in hospital.

Police said they are also trying to determine whether the victim knew the suspect and what led to the shooting.

The police have put caution tape around the parking lot.

There is no danger to the public, police said.
