Houston man arrested for alleged sexual assault of child at Hotel Killeen

KILLEEN, Texas (KWTX) – A Houston man was arrested after he persuaded a girl to come to his Killeen hotel room and sexually assaulted her, an affidavit says

Kingsley Williams, 49, is charged with sexual assault of a child, a second-degree felony.

On August 3, 2023, officers were dispatched to a hotel in Killeen on reports of a sexual assault on a child.

When police arrived on scene, the affidavit said they spoke with the 16-year-old victim and her mother.

The victim’s mother said in the affidavit that the victim was in the hallway when she heard a door close.

The victim’s mother looked into the hallway, did not see the victim and assumed she had gone into the stairwell, the affidavit states.

Some time later, the affidavit says the victim told her mother that she had been sexually abused by a man who lived in a room a few doors down.

The victim told officers that she accidentally went to the wrong door and the man, later identified as Williams, persuaded her to come into the room, the affidavit states.

The affidavit states that Williams undressed both of them in the room and sexually assaulted the victim.

According to the affidavit, the victim said she was too scared to attempt to escape.

The victim’s younger sister told police that Williams had previously asked her to come into the room and inquired about the victim, the affidavit states.

A CAC interview and a SANE exam were conducted, during which much of the same information was provided to the interviewer and the nurse, the affidavit states.

The affidavit states that the DNA swabs taken during the SANE examination “are extremely more likely that the samples came from (the victim) and Williams than from (the victim) and another person.”

Authorities later interviewed Williams and his wife, with Williams saying the victim initiated everything, the affidavit said.

Williams said he believed the victim was a prostitute or that she wanted food, and he tried to help her, the affidavit said.

Williams also claimed the victim stole money from his wallet and wanted charges filed against her, the affidavit states.

On October 11, 2024, Williams was booked into the Bell County Jail and is being held on a $100,000 bond.
