Hines is among 15 players named to the Jet Award Watch List

university Hawaii At Mānoa, football return specialist Tylan Hines is among 15 players – and the only Mountain West player – named to the Jet Award Midseason Watch List. Now in its 14th year, the award recognizes “the electrifying talents of players who excel in punt and kickoff returns.”

Hines, UhA returner for both punts and kickoffs, he is sixth nationally and first in the Mountain West with 344 combined return yards (223 kickoffs, 121 punts). He has a punt return touchdown that he recorded Uh‘s season-opening win against Delaware State.

The award is named after Johnny “The Jet” Rodgers, who won the Heisman Trophy in 1972 and was inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame. The winner will be presented at the Jet Awards Gala on April 10, 2025.
