Waurika city manager arrested for alleged child sexual abuse

WAURIKA, Okla. (KSWO) – Special agents with the Oklahoma Bureau of Investigation (OSBI) have arrested Waurika’s city manager on child molestation charges.

Earlier this year, the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office asked OSBI to investigate a possible sex crime. Waurika Town Manager Charles Kyote Dunn, 30, was identified as the suspect.

Just days later, Dunn was interviewed by officers and a search warrant was issued, resulting in the seizure of electronic devices.

According to OSBI, several images of child sexual abuse were discovered on the seized devices.

Dunn was then arrested in Duncan on Thursday, October 17th.

He is accused of possessing and producing material about child sexual abuse and of loitering in the apartment to observe the residents.

Dunn was booked into the Stephens County Jail.
