One person has died in a house fire in Hall County

One person was found dead following a house fire in Hall County on Thursday, October 17th.

Hall County Fire Rescue responded to the fire at a single-story building in the 4100 block of Sardis Road at 12:50 p.m. Firefighters worked to fight most of the fire while searching for the home’s two residents.

During an initial search of the apartment, one person was found dead. That person has not been identified by authorities. The remainder of the fire was extinguished and examined for remaining hotspots.

The house is a total loss. The cause of the fire is currently unknown and is under investigation by the Hall County Fire Marshal’s Office.

The Hall County Sheriff’s Office will assist in the investigation into the subject’s death.
