We are completely devastated by the news of Liam’s death. As time goes on and everyone is able, there will be more to say. But for now, we will take some time to grieve and process the loss of our brother, who we loved very much. The memories we shared with him will be remembered forever. At the moment our thoughts are with his family, his friends and the fans who loved him by our side. We will miss him terribly. We love you, Liam.

Shortly afterwards, Zayn spoke out and shared a photo of him and Liam hugging. “Liam, I was talking to you out loud, hoping you could hear me. I can’t help but selfishly think that there were so many more conversations for us to have in our lives. I could never thank you for your support.” “When I missed home as a 17-year-old, you were always there with a positive attitude and a reassuring smile, letting me know that you were my friend and that I was loved.” he wrote in part.

The “Pillowtalk” hitmaker added: “I lost a brother when you left us and I can’t explain to you what I would give to hug you one last time, say goodbye and tell you “That I loved you and.” I have great respect for you and will forever cherish the memories I have with you. There are no words that can justify or explain my feelings right now except that you are completely devastated and that you are doing well in peace and knowing how loved you are, brother.
