Roxbury stabbing suspect arrested

Boston, MA – Police officers from District B-2 (Roxbury) arrested Pedro Sanchez, 43, of Mattapan, on charges of assault and battery, at approximately 12:42 p.m. on Tuesday, October 15th.

Authorities responded to a report of a stabbing at 209 Humboldt Avenue. Upon arrival, they found an adult male victim suffering from a stab wound who was then transported by Boston EMS to a nearby hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.

Following the incident, officers conducted an investigation and obtained a description of the suspect, who was seen fleeing the area in a vehicle. Shortly thereafter, they spotted a person matching the suspect’s description returning to the scene and subsequently arrested him.

Pedro Sanchez is charged with assault and battery with a dangerous weapon and is scheduled to be arraigned in Roxbury District Court.
