Shots fired at OC Chase Bank; Robbery suspect at large

LAKE FOREST, CA – Orange County sheriff’s deputies were searching for at least one suspect in a bank robbery that resulted in shots fired at a Chase Bank branch in south Orange County.

According to the Orange County Sheriff’s Department, sheriff’s deputies were dispatched to the Chase Bank branch at 26791 Portola Parkway at 12:03 p.m. Thursday.

Before deputies arrived at the scene, a shot was fired, but no one was injured, OCSD Sgt. Frank Gonzalez told City News Service.

It was unclear who opened fire, the sergeant said.

Officers set up a security perimeter and searched for at least one suspect, Gonzalez said.
