Shot fired during Foothill Ranch bank robbery

Orange County sheriff’s deputies were searching for at least one suspect in a bank robbery that ended with gunfire at a Chase Bank branch in Foothill Ranch on Thursday.

Sheriff’s deputies were dispatched to the Chase Bank branch at 26791 Portola Parkway at 12:03 a.m. Thursday, sheriff’s Sgt. Frank González.

Before sheriff’s deputies arrived on scene, a shot was fired, but no one was injured, Gonzalez said. It was unclear who opened fire, the sergeant said.
