Man faces multiple charges in shooting and stabbing in Lee Township

A man is facing multiple charges after he allegedly stabbed someone during a fight in Lee Township.

On Tuesday, 44-year-old Anthony Steven Vincent was indicted on the following charges, according to court records obtained by News Channel 3:

  • Assault with intent to murder
  • Assault with intent to cause great bodily harm, less than murder or strangulation
  • Attack with a dangerous weapon

Two weeks earlier, on Oct. 1, officers were called to a home in Lee Township after someone arrived at a local hospital with multiple stab wounds, according to the Allegan County Sheriff’s Office.

A short time later, another person from the same address arrived at the hospital to receive treatment for a gunshot wound, officials said.

An investigation indicated both people were at the Lee Township home when a fight occurred, during which the first victim was allegedly stabbed by Vincent, according to the sheriff’s office.

As the car carrying the first victim drove to the hospital, a passenger shot someone outside the car.

The suspect in the shooting turned himself in but remains unnamed pending his arraignment, officials said.

Vincent, however, was arrested on Monday.

His bond was set at $50,000 cash/surety and he is scheduled to appear in court on October 24 for a probable cause hearing.
