Automattic offered workers another chance to quit over the WordPress drama

New Targeting Offer: I guess some people were sad they missed the last window. Some of these were leaked to the press and former employees. That’s water under the bridge. Maybe the last offer had to be higher. People have said they want a new window, so this is my attempt. Here’s something new: You have until October 17th at 00:00 UTC (-4 hours) to tell me via DM: “I’m resigning and would like to accept the 9-month tender offer.” You don’t have to say anything reason or anything else. I will respond with “Thank you very much.” Automattic will accept your withdrawal, you can keep it [sic] office supplies and work laptop; You will lose access to Automattic and Wong (no Slack, user accounts, etc.). Human Resources will contact you in the coming days to discuss the details, including your 9-month salary. You have a lot to do at the moment. You have my word, this deal will be honored. We’ll try to keep this a secret so it isn’t used against us, but I still wanted to give the Automatticians another window.
