The Buenos Aires police comment on the tragic death of Liam Payne

Buenos Aires Police released a statement on Wednesday, October 16, regarding the tragic death of Liam Payne.

In conversation with La Nacion (above Us weekly), Buenos Aires emergency services chief Alberto Crescenti said the One Direction band member suffered “serious injuries” after falling from a hotel balcony.

“Our job was to get there quickly, provide medical assistance and try to revive him, but his injuries were incompatible with life,” Crescenti said. “According to the team’s findings, there appears to have been a fractured skull and extremely serious injuries that resulted in his immediate death.”

He added: “There was absolutely nothing the team could do. There was no resuscitation as he was confirmed to have died. The whole body had very serious injuries.”

Liam’s tragic death is being investigated by local law enforcement. His family released a statement to the BBC saying: “We are heartbroken. Liam will live on in our hearts forever and we will remember him for his kind, funny and brave soul. We support each other as a family as best we can and ask for privacy and space during this terrible time.”
