Fire Restrictions and Level I Recreational Shooting Ban for the San Isabel National Forest

Stage I fire restrictions and an emergency recreational shooting ban have been put into effect for the San Isabel National Forest.

Under Stage I fire restrictions, visitors are only allowed to smoke in enclosed vehicles or buildings. Fires are only permitted in permanent fire pits or fire grates on built-up campsites.

Additionally, recreational shooting is now restricted unless the individual has a current and valid state hunting license and is actively engaged in hunting during the open season as specified in that license.

These measures were implemented to prevent forest fires and ensure the safety of all visitors and residents in the area. For more details on these restrictions and to stay up to date, please visit the official San Isabel National Forest website.
