Liam Payne’s family have issued a heartbroken statement following the singer’s death.

The former One Direction bandmate died after falling three stories from a hotel balcony in Buenos Aires, Argentina, yesterday afternoon.

Payne’s family has now released a heartbroken statement.

“We are heartbroken” said his family.

The statement continued: “Liam will live on in our hearts forever and we will remember him for his kind, funny and brave soul.

“We support each other as a family as best we can and ask for privacy and space during this terrible time.”

Hours before his tragic death, the 31-year-old shared a video with his fans on social media.
